Broderick's was founded in 1983 by Ina Broderick in her kitchen in Dublin. Ina had four sons under 10 years of age but had an urge to start a business and baking was what she knew. As the business started supplying cafes and restaurants, Ina moved it to a local enterprise centre where her son Barry joined her, baking at night while in college. In 2010, the Broderick's brand was created with a goal of bringing restaurant quality desserts into the home in a no-nonsense fun way. Handmade in a bakery in the Dublin Mountains, the Broderick's Double Choc Brownie Bites were the first thing baked in Ina's kitchen and today's recipe is almost identical to that, except each is now covered with Belgian Chocolate.
