MAKER'S MARK is more than 50 years old. Kentucky distiller Bill Samuels, Sr., founder of Maker's Mark, set out to make a better-tasting bourbon whisky. He discovered that if you use winter wheat in the mash instead of the traditional distiller's rye, your bourbon whisky is smoother and less bitter – and that made the difference. Seal of quality Appearance Rich and brilliant amber. Nose Full, yet delicate; well-rounded, possessing a distinctive caramel aroma of charred oak with a hint of vanilla. Palate Rich yet soft on the palate with a subtle sweetness. Light, spicy flavour with a hint of butterscotch and vanilla. Finish Smooth, short and warm.
