Bajo el sol del desierto, entre las dunas doradas, se alzan las ruinas de antiguas ciudades. Dos viajeros avanzan lentamente por el sendero, y las páginas de sus cuadernos de viaje con tapas de cuero se llenan de bocetos antes de caer la noche… La historia de diptyque guarda muchos recuerdos como este. Desde sus orígenes, el Oriente Medio y su imaginario nutren muchas de sus creaciones. Desde comienzos de los años 60, los fundadores de la Casa recorren sus caminos y atraviesan sus paisajes. Eau Rihla evoca estos viajes que inspiran un perfume, pensado como la narración de una larga travesía en que el cuero ejerce su dominio olfativo por contraste con el resto de la composición. De entrada, el acorde vibra con la vivacidad especiada de la baya rosa y las notas amaderadas del cedro del Atlas. Luego, en contacto con las notas del iris, la vainilla y el azafrán, cobra calidez para suavizarse como una segunda piel. Rihla significa “viaje” en árabe. Un recorrido cuya huella olfativa despierta de inmediato el recuerdo de otros horizontes, inmemoriales y cautivadoras fuentes de inspiración. ¿Lo sabía? Una nota de cuero ha sido especialmente creada para diptyque, a fin de integrarla en la composición de Eau Rihla. Se trata de un ingrediente natural que huele a cuero, procedente del árbol del cedro de China. Un cuero “vegetal” de aroma evocador.
