Der Tomatin 16 Year Old strotzt nur so vor Geschmack und bezieht den Großteil seines einzigartigen Stils aus den portugiesischen Moscatel Wine Barriques. Ausgewogen mit dem subtilen Einfluss traditioneller Eichenfässer, bringt dieser Whisky reiche Aromen von traditioneller Orangenmarmelade, sonnengetrockneten Früchten und dunkler Schokolade mit einem Hauch von frischem Ingwer und einem langen, wachsartigen Abgang. Nach der Reifung in Ex-Bourbon- und Ex-Oloroso-Sherry-Fässern entfalten sich Aromen von gebackenen Äpfeln und Birnen mit einem Hauch von Nelken gewürzter Karamellsauce, die sich zu leichteren Kokosnuss- und Blumenaromen entwickeln. Das Schokoladengranulat ist am Gaumen fein ausbalanciert mit Noten von Joghurt und Trockenfrüchten. Zitrusaromen entwickeln sich mit einem süßen, malzigen Abgang.
