The dark golden color and the Eaux-de-vie carefully selected by our cellar master make this cognac. It is characterized by an elegantly complex bouquet of spices, dried fruits, flowers, and a hint of citrus fruits. Distinctive and powerful, but not heavy. A cognac with beautiful taste concentration, a long, full-bodied finish, and a clear imprint from at least ten years of aging in oak barrels. We invite you to discover the different nuances of Bache-Gabrielsen XO (Extra Old), which was distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes from the Cognac region. Under the control and care of our cellar master, this cognac has been aged for at least ten years in small French oak barrels. In this smooth blend, the scents of jasmine and iris blend perfectly with the fruity aromas of banana and plum. The taste offers delicate notes of roasted hazelnuts, candied fruits, almonds, and mocha. The finish still shows lively notes despite the aging of this cognac. We hope you enjoy our XO as much as we enjoyed making it.

**PACKAGING & FORM:** - **Exact Packaging Type:** The packaging consists of a tall, elegant glass bottle featuring a smooth neck and a round base, typical for spirits, specifically a cognac. - **Materials:** The bottle is crafted from clear glass, showcasing the cognac's rich amber color. The closure is a metal screw cap, indicating durability and ease of use. - **Surface Finish:** The glass surface has a glossy finish, enhancing the visual appeal while reflecting light attractively. The label has a semi-gloss finish, making the text easy to read while still appearing premium. - **Shape and Form Language:** The bottle is predominantly cylindrical with a gently widening body towards the base, contributing to a modern and sophisticated look. The neck of the bottle is slightly elongated, which gives it a refined silhouette. - **Size Indicators & Perceived Size Class:** The bottle is 1 liter in capacity, which is a standard size for spirits. It gives a substantial presence, suitable for both home bar settings and gifting. - **Components:** The bottle is topped with a metal screw cap that is adorned with a decorative band, showcasing premium subtle colors that align with the bottle's branding. **COLORS & AESTHETICS:** - **All Dominant Colors:** The bottle features a harmonious palette of deep amber (for the cognac), bright white (for the label background), vibrant red (detailing on the label), and dark blue (for the brand name and secondary text). - **Color Mood and Overall Palette:** The color scheme is rich yet balanced, evoking a sense of luxury and tradition. The amber suggests warmth and richness, while the white and red provide a clean contrast. - **Warmth/Temperature of Colors:** The overall mood is warm due to the amber tones of the cognac, creating an inviting and prestigious feel. - **Contrast Levels:** The levels of contrast are high, particularly with the combination of the white label against the amber liquid and the dark blue text. This ensures that the information is easily legible. **DESIGN STYLE:** - **Overall Design Style:** The design reflects a modern luxury style, combining classic elements (the use of traditional labeling and color schemes) with a contemporary touch in form and finish. - **Brand Positioning Signals:** The branding appears premium, aiming at a market segment that appreciates high-quality spirits. The design likely targets connoisseurs and those seeking a sophisticated drinking experience. - **Emotional Tone Conveyed:** The design conveys elegance and refinement, with a sense of tradition intertwined with modernity. **TYPOGRAPHY & TEXT:** - **Font Styles Visible:** The brand name "BACHE GABRIELSEN" is presented in a bold serif typeface, offering a classic look, while the “XO” is featured in a large, modern sans-serif font, which adds a contemporary touch. - **Typography Mood:** The mood is elegant and refined, appropriate for a premium product. - **Label Density:** The label displays moderate density, with essential product information presented clearly without overcrowding. Key elements like the brand name, the designation "Cognac Extra Old," and the alcohol content (40%) feature prominently. - **All Readable Text:** The text includes “BACHE GABRIELSEN” prominently at the top, the designation “XO” at the center, and “COGNAC EXTRA OLD” below that, all presented in white against the blue and red colors. Additionally, there are smaller texts denoting the volume (100 cl) and the alcohol content (40%). **GRAPHIC ELEMENTS:** - **Icons and Symbols:** The label does not include generic symbols but instead uses a simple yet elegant crown-like design above the brand name. - **Certification Badges:** There are no visible certification badges, signifying possibly a focus on tradition rather than certification for organic or artisan classifications. - **Brand Logos and Their Prominence:** The brand logo is subtly represented by the crown graphic above the text, reinforcing brand identity without being overly flashy. - **Decorative Elements and Patterns:** The label is somewhat restrained in terms of decorative elements; its elegance is found more in typography and color contrast rather than patterns. **TARGET & CONTEXT:** - **Perceived Target Audience:** The product appears to cater to an adult audience who appreciates quality spirits, likely skewed towards individuals aged 25 and older, regardless of gender. - **Where This Would Fit Contextually:** It is suitable for contexts such as upscale bars, fine dining restaurants, home entertainment settings, or as a gift for special occasions such as anniversaries or holidays. - **Seasonal Associations:** While cognac can be enjoyed year-round, the luxurious packaging and rich flavors may lend itself more to cooler seasons, such as winter holidays. **QUALITY INDICATORS:** - **Perceived Premium Level and Quality:** The high-quality glass, polished design, and refined label suggest a premium product, reinforcing the brand's position in the marketplace. - **Material Feel and Texture Perception:** The glass has a solid weight, indicating quality. The smooth finish adds to the luxurious perception both visually and texturally. - **Transparency Level of Packaging:** The bottle's clarity makes the cognac visible, allowing consumers to appreciate its color, further enhancing the appeal. - **Overall Aesthetic Appeal:** The overall design is visually striking, with a balance of modernity and tradition that evokes a sense of luxury, making it appealing to those in the market for premium spirits.

Bache-Gabrielsen VSOP Cognac 40% 1L

An altogether longer ageing process than the established 4 year rule for a VSOP, allied to a third spell in 350 and 400 litre casksall but highlights the audacious nature of our House. Red barrels are not notorious for bringing tannins but rather for allowing a precise micro-oxygenation resulting in a more supple cognac, in this way gaining smoothness and roundness. Bache-Gabrielsen marks itsdifference and offers palates a touch of diversity.

Bache-Gabrielsen VS Cognac 40% 1L

This blend combines the vigour of its youngest "eaux-de-vie" with the first drops of a more mature Cognac.Tre Kors is blended from 25% Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne and 75% Fins Bois cognac. It is matured in casks for minimum 2 years. Deep amber colour. Lively, youthful bouquet marked by fruit and with something of the character of young Grande Champagne. Soft, rounded attack, but a relatively light, fruity finish. This is the story of prohibition and Norwegian ingenuity. During the period 1916–1926 the sale of liquor was prohibited. Liquor could still be obtained on prescription, however, and never before has a nation been so ill. Cognac was only available for "medicinal purposes", and young Bache-Gabrielsen was quick to act. The three existing stars on the cognac label (VS) were replaced with three crosses. To this day, this cognac remains the most popular. A young and relatively unembellished VS, primarily based on Fins Bois.
