Like other releases in the Explorers Edition by Teeling, this whiskey embraces a nation's character and personality by using unique casks to perfectly capture their natural identity. For this release, Teeling selected a whiskey previously aged in bourbon barrels, before giving it a finish for four years in hand-selected casks that previously were used to mature Mugi Shochu.This extra special finish imparts wonderfully enticing notes of lychee and passionfruit to an already stellar Irish whiskey.

Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey has been inspired by the old ancient Blackpitts area just behind the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery based in Newmarket in the old Liberties area of Dublin City, this area was synonymous with many industries and in particular malting houses. Blackpitts was traditionally home to some of the largest barley malting houses in Ireland. By using smoke from peat to dry the barley during the malting process, the resulting peated malt produces a distinctive smoky taste profile which is the signature of a Peated Single Malt. - Nose: Barbeque Smoke, Cloves, Butterscotch and Orange Peel - Taste: Applewood Smoke, Honey, All Spice, Stewed Pears and Grilled Pineapple - Finish: Salted Caramel, Wood and Savoury Smoke

Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey is a wholly unique style within Irish Whiskey, pushing the boundaries of convention, at the intersect of where old world meets new. Although a common component in Irish blended whiskeys, we wanted to create a unique flavour expression of Irish Whiskey made exclusively from corn. By fully maturing this spirit in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon casks from the Napa Valley California, a highly distinct red-berry and tannic profile is imparted that is balanced perfectly with the underlying sweetness from the corn. Bottling at 46% with no chill filtration completes this whiskey of true character. Teeling Single Grain was voted “Best Irish Single Grain” at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards. - Nose:Spice and fruit notes mingle with an underlying sweet nose - Taste:Strong spice at the start developing into lush red berries and grapes, with drying tannin effect at the end - Finish:Dry finish dominated by wood and spice
